Event & COVID safety info

Socialism 2021 will be held at the University of Sydney from Friday 2nd of September until Sunday the 4th of September

The conference will take place in the Holme building on Science Road, University of Sydney.

Follow us on Facebook for conference updates.

The conference will commence with an opening night panel on Friday night at 6PM and will continue on Saturday and Sunday from 10AM until 6PM. Registration for conference attendees will open each day half an hour prior to the conference commencing.

Socialist Alternative wishes to acknowledge that Socialism 2022 will be taking place on stolen Aboriginal land – the land of the Gadigal people. Sovereignty of this land was never ceded and we acknowledge not only the genocide against Aboriginal people which continues to this day, but also the ongoing resistance. This always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.

COVID Safety

The Socialism Conference organising team takes the health and safety of our guests, speakers and venue staff very seriously. We ask attendees to please keep in mind the health and wellbeing of all other guests, speakers and building staff throughout the conference by wearing a mask and being COVID conscious. We’re asking all attendees to please take a Rapid Antigen Test before coming to the conference, and if you’re feeling unwell with flu-like symptoms please stay at home.

P2/N95 Mask Wearing
We’re asking all conference attendees to wear high quality P2 or N95 masks throughout the duration of the conference, in all sessions and to refrain from eating or taking off masks during conference sessions. P2 masks will be available to purchase at the rego desk if you don’t already have one.
