China’s rapid rise as an economic and imperialist power has been one of the major developments in global capitalism in recent decades. But China is not monolithic. Like all countries, it’s a class divided society. Today, the working class in China is the largest in the world. Chinese capitalism continues to face a number of challenges, including class struggles from below.
