The Victorian Socialists: A radical electoral project

10:00am Sunday 4 September

About this session

Our political system is built for the 1%. The Liberals rule for their corporate mates. Labor are a pro-business disgrace and the Greens are no alternative. In a world racked by inequality, war mongering, by disease and runaway climate change, building a socialist political force is crucial work. Victorian Socialists is a new political party fighting to get a socialist elected to parliament.

As Victorian Socialists candidate Jerome Small argues, “A socialist winning a seat in parliament would be a significant contribution to rebuilding socialism as a living, breathing, organising, fighting, controversialising force in this country’s political life.”

Join this session to hear from a panel of Victorian Socialists candidates about why revolutionaries support a radical electoral project and why you should too.
