What Marx learnt from the 1848 revolutions

10:00am Saturday 16 August

About this session

A revolutionary wave swept Europe in 1848, just after the publishing of Marx and Engels’ famous work, the Communist Manifesto. The uprisings confirmed Marx’s arguments, but also, through defeat and the betrayal of the struggle by bourgeois forces, taught Marx many lessons about how the working class needed to organise its struggle.
