Author of 'How Labour Built Neoliberalism'

Elizabeth Humphrys is a political economist who has written widely on the subjects of Australian labour history and neoliberalism, and is on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Working Class Studies. Her new book, How Labour Built Neoliberalism, will be released in October. Elizabeth will be speaking on the experience of the union movement in the 1980s and the Accord, which undermined the strength and militancy of unions and laid the basis for the long term weakness we have seen since.
