Is there a more peaceful and gradual path of getting rid of capitalism and creating socialism, by using our current democratic system? There are some self-described socialists who say yes. But for Marxists, parliament and the entire capitalist state is not a neutral institution; it’s a tool for the rule of the rich.
This session will examine why we can’t reach socialism through parliament. It will question whether we can say we really live in a democracy, who has all the power in our world, and what is the revolutionary alternative to parliament.
